Its Radon Awareness week this week, shining a light on the danger radon poses in our homes, schools and workplaces, and the simple steps we can take to reduce it.
What is Radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas formed from the decay of uranium in rocks and soil.
It is colourless, odourless, and tasteless — meaning you can’t see, smell, or detect it without testing.
Radon can accumulate indoors, particularly in lower, enclosed spaces like basements, cellars and ground floors. Contact Radon Protection UK for Radon Testing advice and Radon Mitigation solutions. Tel - 0800 978 8435.
