Our Public Heath England approved Laboratory will supply track each Radon Detectors direct to your home. Our detectors come complete with simple, easy to read instructions on where to place the monitors. The cost for the testing kits include full analysis in our laboratory and a full report will be supplied. If your home has high radon levels, we can fix it. The only way to know if your home is affected by radon is to carry out a radon test using a special detector. Radon Protection UK can supply inexpensive radon level detectors for home use that are analysed at an independent laboratory. This level of radon testing is vitally important to the health and well being of all individuals who occupy the property as it can highlight potentially dangerous levels of this harmful gas enabling further action to then be taken to reduce the risks.

How can you protect against radon?

The amount of radon varies over time and from room to room in a home.
A range of practical and cost effective well proven solutions are used by Radon Protection UK to help reduce radon levels in existing buildings and to prevent radon ingress into new and existing buildings.

The test is carried out over three months to allow for variations in levels. The test is to determine your exposure, this is why we recommend testing the living area and bedroom as these are the rooms you and your family use the most. If you require a shorter term test, for example a house purchase – then a 7-10 day test kit can also be provided.

Detector packages are available from Radon Protection UK, ensuring ultimate accuracy.

Their test lab analysis uses TASLIMAGE technology incorporating our unique auto-calibration algorithms. Radon Protection UK detectors are fully validated by Public Health England (PHE, former Health Protection Agency) for the provision of radon measurements.

Radon Detectors:

Radon detectors are safe and simple to use: e.g. they can sit on a shelf. The hollow plastic shell contains a piece of clear plastic that records the damage caused by radon. The detectors do not emit anything and do not collect anything dangerous. However, they can be damaged by heat or submersion in water and should not be opened.

If high levels of radon are detected, Radon Protection UK can advise and install radon mitigation systems to reduce the concentration and prevent future infiltration of the gas. Our radon sumps and mitigation systems are designed on an individual basis depending on the size and layout of the property and the level of radon present.
