Our online store offers a selection of passive radon detectors, digital radon monitors and radon mitigation material. Radon Protection UK specialise in reducing harmful levels of radon gas providing radon gas detectors and installation of radon mitigation systems and remedial work for both existing homes and New Builds and Commercial Properties.
Our detectors are available to buy securely on-line. Our customers can purchase radon test kits, digital radon monitors and radon mitigation equipment quickly and easily online.
Our detectors include instructions on where and how to place the detectors in your homes, offices and commercial buildings and detectors will be posted on receipt of your order. Single-use passive detectors are simply left in place, usually one in the living room and one in the bedroom before being posted back to us for laboratory analysis. Our third-party laboratory is validated by Public Health England and our radon detectors are analysed and results / reports are emailed to you. All prices shown include VAT at the standard rate. Passive radon detectors are the most widely used method of testing homes and buildings for radon gas.
Ideally, the radon test is carried out over three months to allow for variations in levels. After three months you post the detectors back to us in the pre-paid envelope provided. We analyse the detectors and post or email the results to you.
If you have already tested for radon gas and your result is at or above the UK Action Level of 200 Bq m-3, we offer installation of radon mitigation systems and remedial work for both existing homes, New Builds and Commercial Properties.
If a test result is required sooner than 3 months, we provide a 10-day screening test for property screening that gives good accurate guidance. The detectors use the same technology as the three month. We supply two 10 day detectors in a pack via post, along with instructions and after ten days returned for analysis. Your report is dispatched within 3 working days of us receiving the detectors.
Because radon levels fluctuate for various reasons, this short term test will provide only an indication as to whether radon levels are likely to be an issue and a longer term test should then be considered.
